Plant a week [Apr. 24th, 2016|10:13 pm]
E.G.
I hope that when we get to NC I can make learning the local-that is, HYPERLOCAL -plants a very regular part ofmy life. I dont know if I can manage a plant every day, but I should certainly manage one a week.
Tonight it is very blustery and I found this tulip poplar blossom on our evening walk.

Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5.

That looks very familiar! The poplars don't seem to be the sturdiest trees. When there's a storm, there's always a lot of small poplar branches on the ground.

It's intrigued me how many native trees from the south east are planted here as landscaping trees.

There's a very tall poplar that hasn't much of a canopy near the new house. I'm not sure what to think about it from the photos. Christine likes it, so i hope it's not a threat to the house.
