Working so intently so early, though, sent the day into an odd pattern. I did make pumpkin pie without the crust. We have a metal rack from our old convection-cum-microwave oven that is half the height of the one that came with this oven. I was able to have a pie on each rack and, once i finished reading the baking instructions (oh, reduce temperature and bake 50 min more!) i was able to have both pies baked.
Only rarely do i need more space in the convection oven. Nonetheless, demonstrating that two racks will work just fine is a delight.
Other than that i felt like i laid about quite a bit. This might have been the contrast with Christine, who seems to have recovered from her physical malaise. She sorted through another bunch of shelves, setting aside some things for recycling, preparing others for reuse.
This vacation seems to have slipped by in a daze. I suppose they all do. I will claim that i am well rested. I had wanted to go through the closet on the deck to find the Yule decor and ....
Well, must bustle off.
