Wait, what, hurricane Lee??

Dinky Hurricane Lee not a threat to land

Dear Dr Jeff Masters, should you really taunt a storm like that? Especially if it's come back from being dismissed as "done"?

Also, Tropical Storm Pilar? Where did N go? (Ah, whew, that's an East Pacific storm.)

And Jose, still?? "After 70 advisories, enough is enough," said the NWS on Friday. Indeed.

How far inland are you? Regardless, looks like there is some rain in your future!

We're pretty much in the center of the state. The first rain in the forecast is out at 4 October. Sigh, i guess i'll be watering the garden.

High clouds moved in last night that are apparently part of Maria. We saw almost all the features of this diagram http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/common.htm last night. A tree was blocking the bottom of the arc and the sun, but we saw the sun dogs, the tangent arc and the circumzenithal arc. The sunset was glorious.

How far west are you? Because Pilar is bringing significant rain to west Texas this week.
