Indeed. Apparently up to 8" of snow in the sierras, so the ski operators are happy. No news of mud slides or flash floods, either.

This has the overtone of damning with faint praise. "And, no meteor strikes! I *hate* meteor strikes, don't you?"

Well it's hard striking a balance. I feel like we are just a touch away from one of those granted wishes ... that wasn't quite what one was wishing for. We want lots and lots and lots of rain.... but slowly, so it can sink in, and carefully around all the burn areas and dusty dry hills.

I am cautioned about too much rain when reflecting on the the mudslide/flash floods that trapped hundreds of people a few weeks ago.

I do understand. I just got a giggle out of the thought. I "heard" it in an Eeyore-being-optimistic voice.

"And snow, so the ski operators are happy - no MAJOR disasters. And the advent of velcro means that I'm less likely to lose my tail until the plot demands it."

Indeed, i could hear the Eeyore voice clearly on rereading the comment.
