I have a theory which should solve a bit of shopping angst for me. The apparent answer to, "Where on earth would I wear that?" is apparently, "The mall" (Yes, I know Stanford Shopping Center is not a mall. Still.)
The apple genius review of my machine was going to take several hours. I thought i'd stay put and, y'know, shop. Retail! In Palo Alto. (See the article about Silicon Valley Millionaires in the NYT for the surreal cost of living environment.) Ha! And I really don't *need* anything, so i'm mainly uncomfortable. I think I'll go run my other El Camino Real errands, even if it means back tracking. |
